All variations of the Pulse 3D printer are designed to be reliable, then further fine-tuned to specialize in specific printing needs. For the Pulse XE, it is designed to specialize in printing engineering grade filaments like NylonX. With a hotend capable of reaching temperatures of up to 300°C and a nozzle designed to handle harsh filaments, the Pulse XE, without a doubt, is made to handle pumping out micro-carbon fiber filled filament with this hotend setup.

The Pulse XE also comes with a bed surface engineered for NylonX; LayerLock Garolite Build Surface, an interwoven glass fiber fabric impregnated with epoxy resin, guarantees better NylonX adhesion to the bed and long-lasting durability for numerous prints. With a garolite surface installed on the Pulse XE’s heated bed, rest easy knowing you’ll struggle less with warping and bed adhesion compared to other bed surfaces.

The Pulse XE 3D Printer Bundle is designed to provide you the necessary hotend setup, heated bed surface, and filament to get you started printing NylonX right out of the box.

The carbon fiber in NylonX is very hard and abrasive and it will quickly abrade and ruin brass or other soft metal nozzles. While most 3D printers can print with NylonX, they require anywhere between a nozzle change to completely switching out the hotend in order to handle multiple NylonX print jobs. The Pulse XE, however, is designed to print NylonX right out of the box for years to come.

With a hotend setup designed to meet NylonX’s 250-265°C print temperature requirement and equipped with either a hardened steel or ruby nozzle that withstands tough, abrasive filament, the Pulse XE is built for you to print NylonX with zero hardware configuration. Maximizing its strength to weight ratio, this filament is sturdy, impact resistant, and high in tensile strength while still being light enough to not disrupt functional use. Its high thermal resistance also aids in lack of warping, adding onto NylonX’s trusted reputation for stiffness. Need to print a part that's both functional and robust? While standard filaments like PLA can print very smoothly, NylonX prints come out even more precise, giving a much sleeker look that would make you think the print was produced by a factory machine instead of a desktop 3D printer. With the correct settings, the smooth and silky matte-black finish of a NylonX print requires zero post processing meaning no filament waste and no time wasted cleaning.

Distinctive print layers can be indications of sturdy prints, but don’t let NylonX’s smooth finish fool you into thinking it equates to low sturdiness. Designed to consistently help keep heated and moving parts functional, this enclosure also helps regulate temperature and reduce warping that can occur during 3D printing. This kit is made up of laser cut panels that sit on the same surface as your Pulse 3D printer, making it a desktop-friendly enclosure. Prevent irregular temperatures and other outside variables from affecting the success of your 3D printing results when you use the Pulse Enclosure. This enclosure kit is available in white for $249 and in black for $279. The colors do not affect the quality of the enclosure.

BuildTak FlexPlate System +$99

Easily remove large prints off of the bed with the BuildTak FlexPlate System 9" x 10". Removable build plates save you from the effort of scraping off a print by simply detaching the build plate from the magnetic base and popping your print off with a little flexing. Make 3D print removal super easy and quick with the BuildTak FlexPlate System. This upgrade comes with garolite installed on the build plate.

BuildTak Extra FlexPlate +$35

The bed has a pre-installed LayerLock Garolite Build Surface, making it ideal to print on for a wide variety of materials from PLA to NylonX. Improve bed adhesion and further reduce chances of warping with this advance printing material.

Bondtech Extruder with E3D V6 HotEnd

The Pulse XE 3D printer comes stock with a Bondtech extruder that all but eliminates slipping, deformation, and under-extrusion. Its E3D V6 hotend reaches temperatures of up to 300°C, making it more than capable of melting tough filaments like NylonX.

Filament Runout Sensor

The Filament Runout Sensor constantly monitors filament during print sessions to ensure successful 3D printing. If your filament runs out mid-print, this sensor will pause the session, allowing you to reload filament and seamlessly continue printing. Print Dry Filament Drying System

Quickly and simply store your filament without any hassle. PrintDry is the perfect moisture control solution for filament storage. Adjust temperatures anywhere between 35°C-70°C and feed filament through two small openings on the side of the chamber if you’d like to print while drying. This filament dry container has automatic humidity control and can hold up to two standard spools.
